Asus keeps experimenting with different kinds of innovations. The very name ‘Transformer’ goes on to show that Asus is often not content with keeping its device under a certain category. While the Transformer Prime tablets raised many eyebrows in the tech world, Asus is back with yet another surprising innovation.
Basically, it is an ‘all-in-one’ desktop PC which will come with an Intel Ivy Bridge processor and a discrete graphics card. Asus recently showed off the machine at a press conference. This PC packs a stunning 18.4-inch display which supports a 10-finger multitouch!
However, let’s not be surprised at such a generous support for multitouch since Asus will be associating this PC very closely with Windows 8, which is said to play very nicely with touchscreen displays. However, that is not the end of interesting things about this machine.
Asus has a knack of ‘transforming’ its devices from one shape into another. And this PC is no different. Despite supporting a large display, you will still be able to ‘transform’ it into a rather huge tablet. Moreover, when in tablet mode, you will be able to switch between Android 4.0 and Windows 8 quite easily, a feature which may make this machine very desirable for a lot of users.
Naturally, what may be of some concern is that the machine will require a lot of battery power. This can be a turn-off for a few, but with its stunning display and support for multiple operating systems, this machine can be a success.
