Description
Byte is an arcade-style shooter set within a virtual cyberpunk environment. Players utilize cunning flight patterns and accurate shooting skills to defeat every encountered enemy as they play through the game’s many graphically immersive futuristic levels. Byte is currently available on the iTunes App Store.
This game offers players with a well rounded, engaging, and perhaps most importantly rewarding experience not only through its hauntingly beautiful neo-electronic aesthetics but through the breadth of its gameplay as well. Byte supports six expansive and progressively more challenging levels. Within these expansive levels players can encounter any one of fourteen different and uniquely dangerous enemies.
As players progress to the end of a given level they are met by one of six progressively deadlier bosses. Users are able to pick up various power ups to improve the power their characters’ energy blasters in order to stay well equipped to battle their in-game enemies. Furthermore, an atmospheric electronic soundtrack made exclusively for Byte adds depth and added intensity to its overall gameplay experience.
Developed in the vein of classic futuristic shooters such as Star Fox and R-Type, Byte fully utilizes a three dimensional cyberpunk aesthetic both to create the neo-electronic worlds through which users play as well as the enemies and bosses the player encounters. The games controls are extremely intuitive so that the user is able to move freely through this beautifully rendered three-dimensional environment and left to rely on well timed and accurate shooting as well as sharp navigation to successfully destroy all enemies.
