Angry Birds‘ developer Rovio Entertainment launched their latest game Bad Piggies on September 27. Seems like, Rovio found its next star. According to the mobile game developer, within 3 hours of launch on September 27, Bad Piggies reached the top spot in the US iTunes App Store.
Bad Piggies is Rovio Entertainment’s first game to take the top spot in just 3 hour. Rovio’s other blockbuster games, like Angry Birds and Amazing Alex, took at least a full day to reach the top spot after launch. The latest game, Bad Piggies, broke all the previous records by the game developer in just over 3 hours to reach the top position in US iTunes App Store.
Rovio’s CEO, Mikael Hed, acknowledged that Bad Piggies was “an incredible launch, both for the game and for ‘Bad Piggies’ as a brand.”
The record breaker Bad Piggies is expected to get its first free update including a new episode titled ‘Flight Into The Night’ that will have more exciting plot twists, unlockable content and levels in the next few weeks.
