So finally, after much speculation, anticipation and wait, the untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 is finally here!! Pod2g and his dream team cracked the nut a few days ago but had been working on the concluding work to bring out a public tool. This tool, Absinthe, is finally here! According to P0sixninja, the ‘dream team’ that was brought together by Pod2g to achieve an untethered jailbreak for A5 devices comprised of the best iOS hackers from around the world. He said that the task was so daunting and hard and required such extensive work that a single individual couldn’t have done that. As a result, the best brains from different iOS hack team came together. Although there’s a certain rivalry between different iOS-hack teams, they let go of the rivalry for this particular job and worked solely to achieve the jailbreak. The different hackers which contributed to this jailbreak include Pod2g, PlanetBeing, MuscleNerd, P0sixninja, saurik, pimskeks and xvolks.
Pod2g and his team has currently released only the Mac OS X version of Absinthe. You can download it from the link and complete an untethered jailbreak on your iPhone 4S as well as your iPad 2 right away! The Windows version of Absinthe will be available soon too.
