The much anticipated untethered jailbreak tool JailbreakMe 3.0 may be delayed until further notice.This time dependent on the release of iOS 4.3.An Italian site that has contacted with Comex of Spirit and JailbreakMe fame to ask him about whether or not he’s going to release his untethered jailbreak tool for iOS 4.2.1.Comex replied with a sift and simple (similar to Steve Job style e-mails) that it all depends when iOS 4.3 is out. This can be seen in the quick email and replying email address proof provided in the pic below.
The email sent by Andrea Cervone from the Italian iPhone blog (iPhone Italia) asked Comex the following:
Just like Steve Job’s ones, I would like to really receive a short and direct answer to my question: your next tool will jailbreak ready for iOS 4.2.1 or the next iOS 4.3?
Comex replied:
Depends when 4.3 is out.
The email address of Comex as shown in the screenshot above seems authentic as he posted the same address publicly in a reply to a user on his Twitter account.
So as things stand now, the only way to get untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 is to use the latest version of Redsn0w 0.9.7, which requires you to have SHSH blobs of iOS 4.2b3 saved. There is currently no other way to get untethered jailbreak except for Redsn0w. If you don’t have SHSH blobs of iOS 4.2b3 saved, you can use Redsn0w 0.9.6 which can jailbreak (tethered only) all iOS devices on iOS 4.2.1.
Also, Comex untethered jailbreak tool will be released only after Apple releases iOS 4.3 or 4.2.2, whichever they decide to before the major iOS 5.0 release in June this year.

They asked him when the jailbreak for 4.2.1 AND THE JAILBREAK FOR 4.3 would be ready. So of course, he answered depends on when 4.3 is released.
That does not mean that the jailbreak for 4.2.1 won’t be out until 4.3 is ready.

MY GOD PLEASE!!!!!!!!! My Ipad 2 is more limited then my Ipad 1 that is jailbroken. Im going crazy looking everyday for a jailbreak. Its kind of like the morning paper, but more depressing. Why not just release the 4.3 JB that you were so happy to show the world!?!?! If they patched your exploit in 4.3.1, wouldnt that mean you have nothing to loose by releasing the 4.3 JB now?

Guys, Calm down, Comex is about to release within the next week or two. Its going to be alot faster download. I’m pretty sure that there will be a new link. And if not within a week or two, apple will already have come out with a new update and all of you guys will get it, and right when you click download…. BOOM! The new JailbreakMe will have come out and you’ll be sorry.

But iOS 4.3 is already out. So why is there no Jailbreakme 4.3. Its already been about 3 weeks since u posted that comment.
i updated my ipod to 4.3.3 and im going crazy to try and find the new jailbreak for it help
Well while we wait, I suggest RedSnow over those who don’t have unlocked iPhones. It’s easier to use and even gives you instructions to help you put your iDevice in DFU mode. If you used UltraSnrow or have an unlocked phone I suggest SnowBreeze since RedSnow will ruin an unlocked iPhone.
So, obviously nobody knows when/if there will be a release. I’ve heard people say “next week”, “this Tuesday”, “next Monday”… for over six months. Stop pulling dates out of your butts. If you don’t, then stop making dates up.
