5. Now select “Install Cydia” and click Next. (If you want to disable multitasking & wallpaper then simple uncheck “Enable multitasking and wallpaper” option).
6. Power off your iPhone 3G/ iPod Touch 2G and connect it to computer and click on next button.
7. Hello all, kinda new to this. Was linked Previous page to here for jailbreak instructions. I would like to ask if Redsn0w is compatible for the 3gs? What are the steps to jailbreak it? I have read the steps on the above but it seems like its meant for the os4. The previous page stated that it is required to download the 3.1.3 firmware.

Downloaded the latest RedsnOw and the OS 4.0.1 for the iPhone 3G, but I keep getting the message “Unable to recognize specified IPSW.” What do I do?
What if the iOS 4 firmware I downloaded is in a compressed file and when extracted .ipsw cannot be found?

hey, i have got the Iphone 3GS with OS 4.0 and firmware 5.13… I have got it jaibroken but cannot get the data acitvated.. I have the cellular data option and it is ON, i have vodafone SIM and has data plan as well which is working on another Iphone 3GS. Please suggest what can be the issue?
