Jailbreak Tool Evasi0n Updated To Version 1.2, Brings Cydia Update & Other Bug Fix

Recently, a team of iOS hackers, evad3rs, released the much-awaited untethered jailbreak tool for iPhone 5 and iOS 6 devices. The tool, Evasi0n, amassed millions of downloads without hours of being released but users have been experiencing some minor issues with it. So a version 1.2 has now been released which roots out a number of such bugs.

Evasi0n

A number of users who downloaded the earliest version of evasi0n have been reporting that the Weather app on their iPhone kept crashing after the untethered jailbreak. The team was quick to tackle that issue and dish out an update which fixed the problem.

This new updated version of evasi0n now brings the ability to disable the over-the-air updates for the firmware so that the users may not end up installing one and thus, disabling their jailbreak. Moreover, some users had formerly cited that after the installation of evasi0n, the date and time wouldn’t update normally on their devices. Version 1.2 resolves that problem.

The Cydia package for the software has also been updated to include all the latest patches and fixes. So if you had been waiting for a more stable version of evasi0n to arrive, it is finally here. You can download the Windows, Mac and Linux versions of Evasi0n from the links provided below:
