Our Review:

There are a lot of video apps in the App Store and every one is offering something unique. PodcastVideo is quite similar to these apps, but comes with a unique concept of gesture-based video controls. This video playing app is designed for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. It can play video podcasts, from your iTunes library with ease. This app also allows you to play audio only from a video file when your device is on sleep mode. And when you are using another app you can set background audio playback with this app.

The gesture-based controls is very interesting and helps to easily control the video. To play or pause the video you have to tap with two fingers and double-tap to change the aspect ratio for external display. Swipe from left to right on the screen to go forward and swipe from right to left to rewind. And if you swipe downwards it will cut the speed, reversely swipe upwards to increase the speed. Pretty easy to use if you remember the gestures. There are some options in the bottom corner which are used to control audio settings and orientation, among others, and a directional pad for controlling playback and speed.

Requirements: Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 4.0 or later. This app is totally free to download from App Store for now.
