T-Mobile is unveiling major shifts in product and service offering one after another. After completely moving to pre-paid wireless plans on March 24, T-Mobile announced another good news for Apple fans on march 26. T-Mobile will finally offer iPhone on its network. The announcement came on T-Mobile’s “Uncarrier” event in New York.
This is the first time T-Mobile is going to offer iPhone on its network. The models to be offered are iPhones 5, iPhones 4S, and iPhone 4. Users will be able to get the iPhone 5 at $99.99 down payment with $20 installments for 24 months. T-Mobile will start selling iPhone 5 on April 12.
CEO John Legere explained that the combination of T-Mobiles new pre-paid plans and cost of the device will save more than $1,000 for consumers over two years, compared to owning an iPhone on AT&T’s network.
T-Mobile also announced the launch of its new 4G LTE network in the same occasion. iPhone will also work on its 4G LTE network.
