Samsung has introduced two new Series 5 touch enabled ultrabooks at Computex in Taipei. Both Ultrabooks have Ultra Touch with Ultra Convertible which is designed around Windows 8 and offering 1366 x 768 touch screens. The Ultra Convertible carries the concept further with a 13-inch display that can fold all the way back. Samsung did not declare till now when the ultrabooks will be available in stores or how much they will cost.
These Ultrabooks will have 128GB or 500GB HDD, both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet connectivity, HDMI support, 4-in-1 memory card reader and a combined mic/headphone jack. The clamshell Ultra Touch unit also has a touchpad with separate buttons, although the Ultra Convertible has a more capacious clickpad.
Samsung has not mentioned anything about the processor or RAM specifications.
