Alcatel Unveiled One Touch Idol S, Idol Mini Smartphone And Evo 8 HD Tablet

Alcatel has silently added 3 new Android devices to its family. Among this three new devices, the One Touch Idol S and Idol Mini are the smartphones and Evo 8 HD  is tablet. The Idol S measures at just 7.4 mm, while the Idol Mini is also very slender at 7.9 mm and both run Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS.

The Alcatel Idol S features with a 4.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The device is powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz along with 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of internal memory which can be expanded via a microSD card. The device has an 8 MP rear camera that features 1080p video recordings at 30fps and a 1.3 MP front camera. This Alcatel mid-range device has a wide range of connectivity option and the smartphone will come in Slate, Fresh Rose and Cherry Red colors.

On the other hand, the Idol Mini is an entry level smartphone. It comes with 4.3-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The smartphone also features a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor, 512 MB RAM, 5 MP rear camera and 4 GB inbuilt memory with microSD card support. The device also comes with HSPA+, Wi-Fi, A-GPS and Bluetooth 4.0 radios. The Alcatel Idol Mini will also be available in a dual-SIM with the same hardware specifications. The only difference is the dual-SIM Idol Mini does not come with a microSD card slot and has an 8 GB of internal storage. Alcatel Idol Mini will also come in three different color options – Cranberry Pink, Silver and Slate.

Finally the third new Alcatel device is a tablet, the 9-mm-thin One Touch Evo 8 HD with 4G LTE, powered by a 1.6 GHz dual core ARM Cortex-A9 processor. It only has 4 GB of internal storage, but it supports cards up to 64 GB in capacity.

Unfortunately, there are no details about the pricing and the availability of these three flagship devices.
