The 6.1-inch phone-tablet hybrid from Huawei, named Ascend Mate, was confirmed by the telecom-gear maker earlier this month. It was expected to be unveiled at in January CES 2013. But, fans had a chance to take a glimpse of the device at a Huawei store in Guangzhou, China.
Richard Yu, Huawei chairman of devices, went ahead to show the devices to fans in a store. A video of the incident was also posted on the web.
According to rumors, Huawei Ascend mate features a 1.8 GHz quad-core chip, a 6.1-inch LTPS(low temperature polysilicon) screen, a massive nbattery of 4,000mAh. And, all of these will come under a price tag of ¥3,000 (about $480).
