Earlier in August, a rumor about a flexible AMOLED display in Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was circling around. Samsung officially introduced its Galaxy Note 2 at the end of last month, and without using any flexible AMOLED display. But, the flexible AMOLED display rumor is still alive, in a fresh new package. This time, speculators are saying that the South Korean consumer electronics giant will start commercial flexible AMOLED display production from this November.
Samsung has made a list of the material suppliers. Initially, the company will make 5.5-inch flexible AMOLED displays that will be used in the updated model of the Samsung Galaxy Note, according to a source. Assistant president of Samsung display unit iterated the group’s position that “Flexible AMOLED creates the future, the world is closer than we thought,” in Information Display Exhibition and Conference.
