Amazon has been increasing the availability of it’s e-reader, Amazon Kindle, to more and more regions. Although the better tablet from Amazon, Kindle Fire, is still exclusively available for US users, Amazon has been introducing Kindle to a number of countries. The latest addition in this list is expected to be Japan where the device is expected to arrive in early April this year.
There are no pricing details given by Amazon so far but the expected price of the tablet is pitched at 20,000 yen or roughly $260. However, the sources haven’t revealed anything about a possible arrival of Kindle Fire to Japanese users, which means that as expected, it’s only the e-reader Kindle that will arrive at Japan.
As far as the carrier for it’s device is concerned, Amazon will be offering 3G data access with NTT DoCoMo to those who purchase the compatible model of the device. E-reader, at best, suits only such people who want a device exclusively to read books on the go.
