HP Slate 7 Tablet Releases Defying All Rumors, Costs $170

HP first showed its 7-inch Slate Tablet in MWC 2013. At that time the company announced that the device would be arriving in the market in April. Later, it was reported that HP delayed the release to June. Surprisingly, the HP Slate 7 is available now.

The HP Slate 7 weighs 370g and measures 197 mm x 116 mm x 10.7 mm. It runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and packs a 7-inch display with multitouch support and a resolution of 1024 x 600, an ARM Cortext A9 dual-core 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a microSD card to expand the memory storage up to 32GB. Besides, the tablet has a 3MP rear camera, an unspecified front facing VGA camera, and a 3,500mAh battery.

The most notable feature of HP Slate 7 tablet is the inclusion of Beats Audio, which HP says makes it one of the best sounding tablets around. Apart from this, the tablets supports standard 802.11b/g/n/ Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1.

The HP Slate 7 is available in red and silver color. Users can order the HP Slate 7 at a price of $169.99 from HP’s website. The shipping will start in May.
