Microsoft May Launch Surface Tablet In Japan By March

According to a report published by Nikkei yesterday, Microsoft will begin selling its Surface tablet in Japan soon. The first Surface to arrive in Japan will come with Windows RT.

Microsoft launched Surface RT tablet last year in the U.S. in October. The tablet model is now available in about 20 countries including China.

The Japanese consumers will get the flavor of Surface RT as early as next month. It is, however, a question how popular the tablet will be in Japan, since the market is already fill with Windows 8 tablets from home-grown companies Fujitsu and Sony.

The 10.6-inch 32GB version of Surface RT is expected to be priced at about 50,000 yen.
