Lady Gaga has 25 million fans on Twitter and 50 million on Facebook, and everyday the number of fans are increasing. If Lady Gaga would be to make her own social network platform for her fans then what you will say? Yes, you heard it right. Lady Gaga is preparing to launch her own social networking website called Little Monsters. Coincidentally, which is the nickname given to her fans. The site is designed for Gaga fans, where they can socialize with one another as well as share Gaga inspired photos and videos.
Little Monsters’ is still in beta and registration is invitation only. But already it has a base of under 100,000 users.
The site was launched by Backplane, a company which was co-founded by Gaga’s manager, Troy Carter. Many ex-Google and Facebook employees are working in the company, so they know what they are doing. Backplane has also planned to make other similar social networking communities like Little Monsters, which will bring together like minded people around a celebrity or cause.
Matt Michelsen, CEO of Backplane said “The goal of Little Monsters and Backplane is to unite people around affinities, interests and movements.”
