Microsoft Demanded To Samsung For Paying $15 Of Each Smartphone Handset Sold

Android is already a leading platform for smartphones with Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 trailing extremely far behind, although Microsoft hopes that will change with their Mango update and new WP7 devices. In April last year, Microsoft said it had reached a licensing deal with Taiwan’s HTC Corp, under which it would receive royalty payments on its handsets running Android.

Finally Skype Is Succesfully Integrated On Facebook

Facebook finally announced a new video calling feature powered by Skype and extending the social networking giant’s deep ties with Microsoft. Mark Zuckerberg also unveiled a new design for messaging and a group chat feature for starting ad hoc conversation circles, similar to features in Google+.Facebook and Skype seem focused on with their new deal and the social network said its video calling is the easiest way to get connected with video. Facebook is being rolled out in 70 different languages and will be available to all of its 750 million active users………….

Microsoft’s online email provider Hotmail turns 15 years old this week and the service’s founders intended its release to highlight the symbolism of its independence from more traditional e-mail models. Hotmail service would be snatched up by Microsoft and housed under the software giant’s MSN umbrella. Microsoft with Hotmail is focusing on a steady stream of recently introduced features, including Sweep, Aliases, inline video viewing from YouTube, Vimeo and more, IE9 pinned sites integration and checks spam folder for misfiled birthday wishes………….
