Facebook has announced of a separate Facebook Messenger app. The Messenger app is an extension of Facebook messages, so all your conversations are in one place, including your texts, chats, emails and messages. The apps both climb to version 2.0 and perhaps a bit more important, they both include worthwhile improvements and cablevision customers can now experience hundreds of channels of live television, thousands of titles of video on demand and other features on all three devices……………

Google has updated its Google+ app for iOS to support the iPad and iPod touch. Although the Google+ interface looks nice, but no iPad interface so pixellated when run in 2x mode on the iPad. It’s usable but noticable worse looking than the same app running on the iPhone.
BBC release a version of its iPlayer on this side of the Atlantic, it’s already upgrading UK PlayStation 3s with a brand new interface. BBC iPlayer on TV is personalised, specifically designed for the living room, and easy to use and allows to control they want directly on the TV. The new UI is built on HTML5 and CE-HTML with an eye towards rolling it out easily on other devices soon, but there’s also plans for a version built with Adobe Flash and AIR technology. 10-year-old girl discovers age old flaw in iOS and Android games, she discovered a zero day exploit in iOS and Android games that would allow her to speed time in game thus growing things faster. The 10 year old girl CyFi revealed this exploit at DefCon Kids and this zero day exploit is related to the clock in games which are used to measure the time it takes for a crop to grow, much like farmville. CyFi’s discovery has since been verified by independent security researchers and the exploit has been found to work in versions of games for both Apple and Android gadgets………….
