Apple Sues Samsung To Ban Sales In Japan

Apple has filed lawsuit against Samsung in Japan, accusing Samsung for violating patents relating to the iPhone and iPad and demanding 100m yen ($1.3m) in damages along with a ban on sales. The lawsuit has been filed in Tokyo District Court, Apple is asking court to ban the sales of Galaxy S and its sequel S II smartphones and the Galaxy Tab 7 in Japan………………..

Apple Turns To Samsung Amid iPad 2 Display Issues With LG

Apple has been forced to shift some of its orders for iPad 2 display panels from LG Display to Samsung and Chimei Innolux after quality issues at LG resulted in unacceptable yields with the panels failing to pass drop tests and also Apple has reportedly suspended new display orders with LG, which had been the largest panel supplier for the iPad 2, until the issues can be addressed.
