A China company named Yipai has released a new tablet called the C7, which is powered by Renesas’ A9 EV2 dual-core processor. Renesas processor has good performance and low power consumption. With Power VRSGX530 GPU, games run smoothly.
Microsoft has signed a patent deal with Quanta Computer, the latest in an ongoing effort to convince hardware makers that they need to license technology from the software giant if they intend to use Google’s Android and Chrome operating systems for their devices and the companies didn’t disclose terms of the deal, except to say that Microsoft will receive royalties from Quanta under the agreement. The Quanta name may not ring many bells, but they’re the one of the largest contract PC manufacturers in the world and if Microsoft’s deal allowed them to collect royalties on any Android or Chrome-powered product sold under the Quanta name. The licensing deals Microsoft has inked in the past don’t shine any light on the royalty structure and Google historically hasn’t been a fan of Microsoft’s practices………………

US Army smartphones have been certified by the cryptographers at the NSA, which would certainly help justify its $1,500 price tag and the handset’s display looks awfully similar to the Army’s Nett Warrior platform, an Android-based OS that features a host of mapping functions designed explicitly for war zones. Motorola is sending out invites to a media event to be held in New York City on October 18th. The words “Faster. Thinner. Smarter. Stronger” are also emblazoned on the invite. The event kicks off at 9 a.m. PT/noon ET and we are also hearing multiple devices could make an appearance, including an update to Motorola’s XOOM tablet.

The devices actually use Kent Displays Reflex No Power LCDs, but until now the company’s LCD writing tablets were not able to saving any writings and scribbles and the new tablet can save pages and pages of and drawings, notes, scribble, ideas, homework assignments, etc. You can reserve yours now from the maker in the US and Canada, but at $130, it’s pricier than previous storage-free Boogie Boards and Europeans longing for a digital sketch pad can lay a claim to one next week with the scribbling slate set to ship on November 1st………………….
Adobe Flash 11 and AIR 3 hits the tubes delivering with it a host of new features, including hardware acceleration for 2D and 3D graphics, at least for desktops and Stage 3D support will be added to the mobile variants for Android, iOS and BlackBerry at a later date. AIR 3 sprucing up connected entertainment devices, like Samsung SmartTVs with the ability to deliver Flash-based games and content to your home theater system and Adobe has baked in support for both Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound. That means both 5.1 and 7.1 sound can be built into an AIR app and the announcement took place during the company’s MAX conference…………….
