iPhone 5 May Boost Up Apple’s Market Share By Double: Analyst Report

Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster suggests interest in the iPhone remains strong and he points to a small survey of 216 mobile phone owners in Minneapolis that shows 64% will buy an iPhone as their next handset. 67% of BlackBerry owners were going to switch to an iPhone next with only 26% sticking with RIM and by contrast, 94% of iPhone owners were going to get an Apple handset again, while 42% of Android owners would be continuing with the OS for their next phone…………….

According To Guardian, iPhone 5 Delivered To Carriers For Testing

The next iPhone will be released some time this fall and the Guardian says that boxes in which the new iPhone hardware is encased have been delivered to carriers for testing. Apple will typically spend months testing a new product internally before any non-Apple employees can get anywhere near it and after pple’s testing is completed, the iPhone is handed over to the carriers to do their own (super-secret) testing. The boxes are rarely opened and most likely, if opened at all it is only by the highest ranking lab technicians at the carriers……………

Rumor: iPhone 5 Will Be More Thinner But Wider

The next-generation iPhone will offer a somewhat longer and wider form factor than the iPhone 4. The cases eiterate other apparent changes such as the mute switch being moved to the opposite edge of the device and the form factor including a very slight teardrop design and also rounded edges.
