Upcoming Netflix Competitor Shaw Movie Club

Shaw Cable’s Netflix competitor bypasses bandwidth caps on its way to the TV and the $12 per month service offers unlimited access to hundreds of the best Hollywood movies and also plans to have high definition feeds later this summer for an additional $5 cable companies in the US have a similar scheme under the name Vutopia. Such a move places Shaw’s upcoming Movie Club service at an advantage to a competitive movie streaming service such as Netflix which is already having to downgrade its default service in Canada because of bandwidth caps and the move would be akin to Comcast exempting customers of its Xfinity service from its data cap…………

Apple Tests A6 Chip With TSMC

Apple has consigned trial production of its future A6 processor to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company and the A6 processor is still a distant destination on Apple’s chip road map. It isn’t expected to appear in products until 2012. Analysts believe it will be quad-core, a first for an Apple A series chip and Apple is believed to be shifting its manufacturing orders away from Samsung due to a fallout between the two companies………….

Now the iPhone Dev Team has just pushed a small update to Redsn0w to make it compatible with the just released iOS 4.2.4 firmware and this new version of Redsn0w can tether jailbreak most iOS devices on iOS 4.3.4, namely iPhone 4, 3GS, first-generation iPad, and iPod touch 4G/3G. The only device that’s not supported at the moment is the iPad 2 and if you’re using a carrier unlock, stay away from Redsn0w, it will revert it………….
