When Samsung launched its Galaxy S III, it stated that a Flipboard app will be a part of the device. We were also told that the app will remain exclusively available on the device, at least for the first few months. But that, apparently, was not to happen. Now, the Flipboard APK has been leaked to XDA Developers forum so that virtually anyone can download and use it.
What is even more amazing is the fact that the APK is ready to be used with a number of Android devices. For instance, when it was installed and run on HTC One, it ran perfectly. It was also reported that the app ran great on older Galaxy devices such as Galaxy S.
You can easily set up the app by downloading the APK, then loading it and choosing the topics you like. Flipboard suggests certain categories for your topics which you may or may not choose. You can then surf through headlines and find those that interest you.
However, the entire app hasn’t been leaked through the APK. Notably, the widget view feature that was a part of the Flipboard app that is supposed to come on Galaxy S III, is not available with the leaked APK. This essentially means that the leaked version is rather an early build, and not a full version, of the app. Nonetheless, it stills works smoothly across a number of Android devices, so you can grab it for yourself right here.
