Apple Launches “Red Line” Of Merchandise

Apple has finally unveiled the much-awaited iPhone 5 as well as a slew of other products. These include a stunningly small and cool iPod Nano and an all new iPod Touch. Alongside all this, Apple has also launched a whole new line of merchandise under the collective name ‘Product Red.’

Product Red

This lineup has been launched by Apple to aid the Global Fund to help fight AIDS in Africa. The red in the name, as well as the color, of the products which are offered on this lineup precisely refers to that.

When you make a purchase of any of the products of this lineup, Apple donates a certain portion of the paid price to Global Fund. According to Apple, it has been able to raise $50 million for Global Fund through Product Red merchandise so far.

The Product Red lineup contains a variety of products. These include iPod shuffle, the all new iPod Nano, iPod Touch, a Smart Cover for iPad, iPad Smart Case and finally, iPhone 4S Bumper.

All these products are being offered, naturally, in red color and are distinct from the regular sales by Apple. Out of every purchase, a sizeable sum goes to Global Fund which is aiming to eradicate AIDS from Africa by the end of 2015.
