CES 2012: Web TV To Be Boosted By Apple, Google And MySpace

To take a short break from this year’s edition of CES, we need to look ahead and check out what the tech giants Apple and Google have in store for us in the near future and who is challenging the supremacy of the two game changers. The battle is now moved on the television field with major players fighting to gain the upper hand in shaping the future of this market. While analysts predicted that Apple is going to release the iTV believed to change the living room entertainment with gesture and voice controlled TV sets Google is also working its way on the top of this market.


Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest Android version has a TV feature, as Lenovo recently revealed. Lenovo’s smart TV offers video on demand, Internet and Android apps as well as regular TV programs. The first users who will be able to get these TV sets will discover a set of intriguing new features like, sharing files between the TV and a smartphone or a PC or controlling the TV using the tablet or the smartphone.

However, the big surpise might come from MySpace. Some analysts predict that MySpace could bring true web TV before Apple and Google. The details bout this project are still kept secret. However, leaked information suggest that MySpace TV might focus on music and music videos.
