According to couple of recent reports, Google is planning to launch Google Glass App Store in next year, which will serve Google Glass users and developer as well.
While Google has not confirmed any official word about app store for Google Glass, New York Times has first revealed that Google will launch Google Glass App store in 2014. Google Glass will be available to the general public by next year, so App store launching time does makes sense.
The New York Times writer Clive Thompson has written a review about the device and he added, “The company says an app store is coming next year, when Glass is available to the general public.” Afterward, a spokesperson from Google confirmed to Marketing Land this week that a dedicated app store would arrive in 2014.
According to Marketing Land, “The company declined to share any additional details like if the Glass app store would be part of Google Play or separate, and if developers will be able to charge for apps by the time the store opens.”
This news about Google Glass App Store rises many questions like whether or not it will be a part of Google Play or stand on its own? When it will finally made available for public and what will be the process to buy? We have to wait until further official announcement by Google.
