Nokia to Announce Plans for Low-End Tablets at MWC?

The reporters from TechRadar took the chance of getting the most important decision makers and the major companies in the tech world in one place, at Consumer Electronics Show that took place last week in Las Vegas and manage to get a few valuable information about Nokia’s plans.

Stephen Elop, Nokia CEO, explained in an interview that his company intends to make a statement on the market and to recover its lost position. The Finish phone maker plans to attract more budget conscious customers with an array of new products. “There are people in the world who are less willing or unable to spend a certain amount on the device. Clearly we’re going to have to serve them in a different way.”

When it comes to the future Nokia tablets, Stephen Elop confessed that his company is not focused on high-end performance and even made jokes about the rival’s efforts on this matter. “You don’t need a quad-core phone unless you want to keep your hands warm in your pocket,” he said. On the feature phones, Nokia will be more careful to provide functional phones with a modern, cool look.
