Quarterly Earnings Lead Lenovo World’s Second-Largest PC Vendor

Chinese based Lenovo Group’s 2nd Quarterly report astonished us all. Earnings for the second quarter of 2011 reached to $145 million from $76 million, above the average of $117.8 million, which is more than 88% over the same period of the last year, 2010. This Q2 earnings impacted also in Shipments to matured markets. Shipments to various countries including Western Europe & USA raised to 25.4%. Undoubtedly, 57.5% of total Revenue of the company came from its Laptops where PC shipments increased 35.4% from $5.76 billion to $7.79 billion in 2011 than 2010.

Except these, Lenovo achieved a worldwide quarterly market share of 13.5%, while consolidated sales rose by 35.8%. Surprisingly, making a record of $7.8 billion; higher than ever of, lead them becoming the world’s Second-Largest PC Vendor.
