Portal is a single-player first-person puzzle platform video game developed by Valve Corporation. Launched in 2007, Portal quickly gained a cult status and was acclaimed as one of the most original games of the year, despite being considered way too short. The game received praise thanks to its unique gameplay and dark humorous stories.
And now Portal die hard fans can jump up and down with joy because a cloned version of the interesting game has been ported to Android devices. It’s not official yet, but it’s a reality nevertheless: the games have been developed with the Unity engine to run on Android tablets. Judging by the first impressions, it looks very promising.
The game is still having work done on it momentarily so expect a few graphics to be missing. Here and there you might also notice a couple of glitches that will need to be taken care of. A tryout version is available for download from the PDA forums, if you are dying to check it out, but because it is still in beta version, it might interfere with the normal functioning of your Android device.
Portal isn’t the only shooter games that has been ported to Android devices, sometime ago an unofficial version of Counter-strike has landed on Android tablets as well.
