iOS 4.1 Beta 2 is now released for DevelopersDownload iOS 4.1 Beta 2 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch…..

Once again keeping to the every-2-weeks cycle, Apple has released iOS 4.1 beta 2 for developers. whether you’ve got an detail, head on by to developer.apple.com and update your SDK and firmware.

Based on the release notes, it looks like Apple has fixed some bugs. iOS 4.1 Beta 2 is available for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 3rd and 2nd generation.

The iOS 4.1 beta 1, which was released two weeks back included Game Center, Apple’s social gaming network with a brand new look.

iOS 4.1 Beta 1 also included some minor changes such as:

  • Flash/Camera buttons reposition themselves in landscape (as seen in the screenshot below).
  • Favorites in the Phone app can now be added as Voice or Facetime.
  • Check Spelling can be turned Off in Setting.

Apple is also expected to include the fix for the proximity sensor issue that is affecting many iPhone 4 users in iOS 4.1 as Steve Jobs had mentioned at the special iPhone 4 press conference that it will be fixed in the next iPhone software update. But it looks like it hasn’t been included in this beta version.

iPhone Dev Team and Comex have advised users who want to jailbreak and unlock their iPhone to avoid upgrading to iOS 4.1 for now. But it seems safe for iPhone 3G  and iPod Touch 2G users, as Redsn0w can be used to jailbreak iOS 4.1.

We’re guessing Apple plans on doing what they’ve done in year’s past — keep releasing betas until they hold a fall Special Music Event and show off the final version along with a new iPod touch G4.

We will let you know if the latest beta version of iOS 4.1 reveals any interesting new features.
