Technology blog DownloadSquad has some new information on Google Tablet which will run on Google’s Chrome operating system. According to their source, it would be available on 26th November available on the Verizon network. November 26 is the day of Black Friday in the U.S., the busiest shopping day of the year in the U.S. It will be manufactured by HTC, already in charge of making fire Nexus One, the smartphone Google recently abandoned. The tablet computer will compete with Apple’s iPad, according to reports.

A Google Chrome OS tablet has been rumored to be coming but now a tipster has come out with a planned date for the tablet. The tipster said a Google Chrome OS tablet would be released on November 26 through Verizon. The tipster also said that the tablet would be subsidized if you buy it on contract, no mention of just how subsidized it would be. The tipster did say it would be much cheaper than the Apple iPad if you buy it on contract from Verizon.
The specifications for the proposed Google Chrome OS tablet read like a dream. It is being said that the tablet will come with a Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, a 1280 x 720 pixel multi-touch display, 2GB of RAM, 32GB SSD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS, Webcam and expandable storage.
If the rumours are confirmed, the tablet would be the first commercial device to run the Chrome OS.Sundar Pinchai, vice president of product management at Google, said, “Chrome OS is one of the few future operating systems for which there are already millions of applications that work. “You don’t need to redesign Gmail for it to work on Chrome. Facebook does not need to write a new app for Chrome.”
