Kindle Fire Sales Expected To Hit 3.9 Million In 2012

I think the phrase ‘ take em by storm’ is quite apt to use for Amazon’s Kindle Fire. It’s been barely in the door of the tablet market and it has already defeated most tablet market contestants, some of the pretty serious ones. According to projected estimates, by the end of next year, Kindle Fire will be the second most-sold tablet in the market, second only to Apple’s iPad.

Kindle Fire has certainly upped the heat in the tablet market. We recently reported that Amazon’s tablet became the hot cake on Best Buy during the Black Friday and has been the best-selling item on Amazon.com for weeks. On top of it, the estimated sales of Kindle, within merely a month or so of it’s release, has been so rapid that the quarterly sales of the tablet are cited to be some 2 million units, which is a huge achievement given the fact that the tablet was released only recently.

Sales will surpass all Android tablets in 2012:
According to a report by IHS projects, it has been estimated that Kindle Fire shipments will amount up to 3.9 million units at the end of 2012. This means that Kindle Fire will surpass all non-Apple tablets and grab a hefty 13.8 percent of the market share. Apple will stay victoriously on top, keeping it’s 65.5% of the market. However, the estimates may be removed from reality if Amazon comes up with something surprising to stuff it’s next tablet with, something that can trigger the sales beyond the estimates, just like it did with its Kindle Fire.
