The wide-spread acclaim tablets have won over the recent years is remarkable. They have literally penetrated through every prominent field. From kids to adults, everyone is hooked to those awesome display graphics and touchscreen experience offered by the tablets. Now, Oregon Scientific has said that it will soon be launching a tablet which will be specifically for kids.

The details that we know about this tablet for kids which is called ‘MEEP!’ are that this tablet will have a 7-inch Neonode zForce touch-screen display. The tablet comes equipped with Wi-fi, an SD card slot and a G-sensor for screen rotation. As far as the operating  system of the tablet is concerned, it will be tooling an Android OS. However, we don’t yet know which version of Android OS will the tablet use.

Oregion Scientific says that the tablet is perfectly suitable for use by kids ages six and up. The tablet, of course, has online browsing functionality and so, the company says that parents will have ample control options to filter the content viewed by their kids on the MEEP! tablet. Moreover, the parents can control the web browsing of their kids through an online control panel. For those kids who are jumping in excitement over a tablet exclusively for them, there’s more to this treat. The company also plans to release a number of accessories soon for the tablet, including musical instruments.

The official unveiling of the tablet will happen to TIA toy fair which is scheduled for this weekend.
