The first movie of the series Iron Man, as same as the name of the character, released in 2008. In the movie, hero Tony Stark, an industrialist and master engineer, wearing a suit of armor turns into a superhero, gains some ‘deadly’ power and fights against the evil men. That movie impressed all, like the original comic series kept us entertained over years. The question is, how much would it cost be Iron Man, in real life? Don’t be astonished. It will cost you just $1.6 billion.

The name of the hero in the movie Iron man was Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr. in the movie. Stark created a powerful electric generator called an arc reactor and built a suit of armor, that gives him ‘deadly’ powers. Wearing the suit, he turns into superhero. However, being a superhero in real life is not so easy, if not impossible. But, still if anyone wants to be Iron Man, it’s possible. One just need $1.6 billion.

MoneySupermarket.com has released an infographic estimating the cost of being Iron Man. Let’s take a look. The Arc reactor that keeps Iron Man alive and powers the suit would cost $36 million; the wrist-mounted anti-tank missile launchers would cost $1.5 million; the helmet with projected holographic HUD would require more than $54 million; shoulder-mounted anti-personnel guns will eat up another $4 million; artificial-intelligence system would cost $10 million; and so on. Stark’s extravagant lifestyle and his cars – all of it is also important for living like Iron Man. It’s been estimated that, the ultra-modern house will cost $25 million to build, and the cars will cost from a range of $40,000 to $2 million. When you are done adding up all the numbers, you are going get the total – $1.6 billion!
