Titanic, the largest passenger ship sank on its maiden journey from England to New York 15 April, in the year of 1912, after hitting an iceberg in mid-Atlantic. We just celebrated 100 years of that sinking ship yesterday. Within this 100 years, the most important thing we have seen is James Cameron’s new CGI that shows exactly how Titanic sank. Now, Google has come up with an interactive 3D model of the Titanic, allowing people to take a tour of the ship that now sits in the somber depths of the sea.
Anyone can almost take a tour of the remaining parts of the under water massive ship Titanic very easily. It seems that someone is exploring the ocean. Here’s a video demonstrating for you. You will find the power of the 3D model that Google Earth has put together, along with all of the information you can learn about the ship:
Here’s what the Google Lat Long team had to say about its efforts:
The story of the Titanic has remained with us through the decades. It has inspired books and movies and is memorialized around the world in museums and monuments. Now, despite its depth on the sea floor, you can explore this ill-fated ship from the comfort of your home using Google Earth.
The team also said, “Using imagery from National Geographic, we’ve created an updated 3D model of the Titanic. Explore different parts of the ship, from prow to stern by simply searching for “Titanic” in the Google Earth search box.”
