In today’s world ingrained well in technology, it is no surprise that many of the most valuable brands are names from the tech world. The most valuable brand, the one that stands on top of the list, is Apple. Apple bagged the position last year too and has been able to sustain its position through a second year. IBM stands in second position while Google has slid to a third.

Apple’s success in the smartphone and tablet market has brought it an unprecedented success. iPad and iPhone are flying right of the shelves in millions and this has hugely increased the semiconductor consumption of Apple, making it the largest chip buyer in the whole world. FaceTime, the video chat service that is available in Apple’s devices, has been wildly popular among iOS users. However, Apple has been rather reluctant in letting the users make use of the service over 3G. Currently, Apple allow users to make FaceTime calls only when they do so over Wi-Fi. But now, an iOS warning message suggests that Apple may have plans of changing this.

Sony has released an iOS app for its Music Unlimited streaming service. The app comes with two types of subscription of the Music Unlimited service – basic subscription and premium subscription. Basic subscribers can select any song from their created personal library. Premium subscribers of this service would get the freedom to choose any album or song from Sony’s collections. Sony is currently offering the premium plan free for 30 days.
