The result shocked me as well. iClarified performed the test and surprisingly result shows iPad 1 boots up fast and iPad 2 took 3 second more, but iPad 3 was last to boot-up and took almost 6 second more then iPad 1. Here we have the video and results below.

If you recently bought a new version of iPad you probably heard that iMessage allows you to send and receive SMS text messages and MSS messages just like on your regular phone. The only difference is that instead of phone number you will use your email address; however this feature only works with other Apple iDevices. But before you even decide to start using iMessage and send text messages, photos, videos, locations, contact cards, etc… you will need to set it up. In this tutorial I will show you how to check if iMessage is already setup on your new iPad, and if it’s not, then I will show you which steps you need to perform to set it up.

In a surprising move, Apple has finally revealed the exact sales figures for the new iPad. And as always, Apple has well been able to top the best estimates put forth by analysts. While analysts have been saying that on the launch day, Apple will be able to sell up to three million iPad tablets, the company has now announced that it has been able to see a whooping three million units since launch, which was precisely three days ago.

Its not easy watching a cool, and new, gadget go down in ruins. It is worse still to destroy something like the new iPad willingly and intentionally. But then if it is done to compare the ‘strength’ of a device, perhaps its not all that bad. Folks over at SquareTrade carried out a test comparing the durability of the new iPad against iPad 2 by..well…dropping them mercilessly from different heights. The video of the ‘test’ is posted below.

So the new iPad is here, its sales are strong, it has pretty much stunned the world with its ultra-clear Retina display and Apple is expecting a big fortune out of it. But is it really worth it, with all that talk of the Retina display, 1080p content, A5X processor and quad-core graphics? Let’s give all these features a look in the context of a day with the new iPad and see how justified are the claims by Apple.

Conventionally, Apple’s production costs are significantly lower than the price at which its products are actually sold, which explains the huge profits the company makes every quarter. With the new iPad, however, it has been revealed that Apple’s production costs has been rather high, leaving the company with low profit margins on the sales. The new iPad cost Apple some $316 at least to build whereas the price of the tablet is the same as iPad 2.

It is pretty astonishing to notice that with barely hours into the actual launch and availability of the new iPad, it has been jailbroken already! And even mind-blowing is this piece of news that not one, or two, but three methods have been devised so far to accomplish this. Like we reported earlier, i0nc has already posted images of his jailbroken new iPad; the second on the list was iPhone-Dev Team. And now, two notable iOS hackers, Chpwn and Pheonixdev have accomplished the fear through a third method!

This question has reared help infinite times since Apple’s launch event yesterday. Everyone has been asking about it and some speculated that maybe Apple folks forgot to mention what exactly is the new iPad called. As it turns out, Apple has revealed that it has termed the new tablet ‘the new iPad’ because it doesn’t want to be predictable. Is it just me or does that really sound like a tad bit lame argument?
