Bridgestone shows off QR-LPD display at CES 2011, which have future look dim and new screen tech was a major disappointment…..

QR-LPD screens is a type of color epaper technology that’s been under development for quite a few years and is only just beginning to hit the market.Vivitek are the distribution partner for the e-readers with the Bridgestone screen and they were at CES this year.They brought both devices an 8.2-inch e-Reader and a 13.1-inch e-Pad.The screen refresh time is painfully slow and unless these screens turn out to be vastly better in production and incredibly cheap, the Mirasol and Pixel Qi don’t have anything to worry about in the next-gen screen space.
