If you own both an iOS 7 device and Apple TV, here are some really good news for you. You can now use the iOS 7 device to access ‘Touch To Set Up’ feature. In other words, all you need to do is simply turn on Bluetooth and tap your device against Apple TV and you will be all set.
Since this feature works with all iOS 7 devices, you can use iPhone 4S, iPad mini, iPad 3G, iPod Touch 5G and more recent Apple devices to hook up with Apple TV. All you need to do is bring out your iOS 7 device and turn on the Bluetooth.
Once the Bluetooth is turned on, you will need to tap the iOS 7 device against Apple TV 3G. Both devices will then be connected and you will then be asked to enter Apple ID. You are then presented with the option as to whether or not you want Apple TV to remember this data so that it can be used in any future purchases.
Conventionally, setting up your Apple TV and connecting it with your iOS device by configuring the Wi-Fi settings has been quite a hassle. However, Apple has decided to rely on Bluetooth, rather than Wi-Fi, in the iOS 7 devices. The company has been building the Bluetooth LE technology in iPhone handsets and iPad slates for a long while. And now Apple has finally put this technology to an effective use.
