Mac Mini Reportedly Will Launch Alongside iPad Mini On October 23rd

A source has indicated that a refreshed Mac Mini will launch alongside Apple's iPad Mini on October 23rd. Details of the computer's specs are scarce at the moment.

Apple has announced a ‘special event’ that will occur on October 23rd expected to announce the iPad Mini; but that may not be the only product announcement at the event — a source has indicated the Cupertino-company’s plans to also announce a refreshed Mac mini.


Mac Mini

The Mac Mini will launch in two standard configurations, being able to choose storage & processor details or a separate model that runs OS X Server. Shipments are prepared for the day after the October 23rd media event. A few prominent upgrades will happen with the CPU, USB ports, and more.

Apple’s last Mac Mini update occurred two years ago and the internal chipsets are lagging behind competing companies. Apple will also launch a Retina-display 13″ Macbook and iMac according to sources.

Additionally, a few tweets have reiterated that Mac Mini demand cannot stay intact with production — indicating Apple has halted production of Mac Mini computers. We aren’t psychic so we will just have wait until next Tuesday for the official word.
