Being the only flight company based in Silicon Valley, it does seem appropriate that Virgin America would do something to honor one of the greatest personalities who ever set foot in the area. So the company has decided to paint the words “Stay hungry, stay foolish” – one of Jobs most popular quotes, on the side of one of their Airbuses A320. The commented was made by Jobs in a 2005 commencement address at Stanford.
“On the back cover of their final issue was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind you might find yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. Beneath it were the words: “Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.” It was their farewell message as they signed off. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish. And I have always wished that for myself. And now, as you graduate to begin anew, I wish that for you.”
Virgin America has a reputation for offering a tech friendly environment for costumers, traveling off the ground. It was the first company to offer fleetwide Wi-Fi back in 2009 and is now engaged in a new in-flight entertainment system. Costumers will enjoy touch screen entertainment outlets at every seat. Also, the Wi-Fi capabilities will be upgraded soon, as the company is planning to bring the next generation ATG-4 from Gogo. The idea behind Virgin America was to reinvent the travel experience and that meant re-inventing everything related to design and service.
