Google has finally release the newest version Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The new version comes with a number of exciting features such as improved flexible widget, notification, Android beam, offline voice typing, voice search etc. Let’s check the newly arrived features.
In the 4.1 Jelly Bean all the widgets will automatically re-size on the home screen. When you put widgets in your screen it will automatically fit in that space by re-sizing itself. Or, you can manage the size of the widgets yourself too.
Google added some interesting features on notifications. Android apps can now display larger, richer notifications and they also can expand and collapse. Notifications support new types of content, including photos, have configurable priority and can even include multiple actions. Now you can snooze calendar notifications, can see Google+ photos in notifications, and quick responses for easy access.
Improvements to Android Beam
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean brings another improved feature – sharing between two phones through wireless. You can now easily share photos by tapping two phones together. The device share using an emerging wireless technology called near-field communications. The Galaxy S III phone has a feature for sharing photos and video by tapping, but it works only with other S III phones.
Offline Voice Typing
Stop typing! Just talk into the microphone and the software will record in text format everything that you say. This new feature is extremely useful for those who aren’t connected to the internet but want to write the text without using hands.
Another new feature of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is the powerful new Voice Search tool. This tool is very helpful for frequent searching. There is a new UI and the service is much faster than the previous versions.
One of the new features in Android is Google Now. This new tool helps you to get the right information at the right time automatically. But it requires activation from you. It will automatically keep you updated about your favorite sports, your travel status like updates on flights that you have searched for. If you ask for travel routes this tool brings all that information to relay traffic information based on searches. The virtual assistant feature may be an alternative of Siri from Google.
