Since the announcement, Lollipop is the top priority long waiting update among the Android users. You already may have known about the official release of Android 5.0 Lollipop. Since then, Google is rolling out this update for several devices and most of them are for nexus so far. The updates are available for Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (Wi-Fi), Nexus 7 (2013) Wi-Fi, Nexus 9 (Wi-Fi), Nexus 10.
If you want over-the-air (OTA) updates, then you will have to wait for some more days but for those who are impatient can download the factory images for your devices. Factory images are basically binary image files that allow you to restore your Nexus device’s original factory firmware. But be careful about flashing your device as if anything goes wrong, there is a chance of losing data. So do it on your own risk and make sure to back up your whole data of Android device before flashing.
The updates for different devices are being release step by step so that Google can minimize the downfall of so many millions of Android devices while knowing all the problems and bugs. Later they will release some more versions which will contain bug fixing updates and batches.
