Apple HDTV may actually become a reality as early as the end of 2011. Wall Street analyst Brian White of Ticonderoga Securities reportedly told investors to expect Apple to launch a “Smart TV” by the end of the year. We’re a little dubious, but White may actually be onto something.
Rumor has it that the TV will cost about $2000. In addition to getting a characteristitcly clean, sleak Apple design, it will have to offer the same quality screen, or better, as it does with the 27-inch Apple iMac.
There’s been talk that the TV will offer a package that gives users free reign to any iTunes content, allowing you to stream TV shows, movies, and music from your TV for a set rate. Integration with Apple’s AirPlay seems like a given.
