We’ve been waiting for Google to dish out a Chrome app launcher for Windows users. While the search giant hasn’t made any formal announcement to that end yet, it seems that the Chrome launcher for Windows has finally been released.
The Chrome app launcher, meant for Windows machines, has been in developer preview for quite some time. We were following it closely, since a successful run in the Developer Preview phase meant that the version would enter full release. Now, it has finally happened.
Once you install the launcher on your Windows machine, its installed icon would appear on the taskbar, the desktop as well as the start page. The launcher essentially makes it very convenient to access Chrome, Chrome Store or Gmail from anywhere.
The ease of access that the Chrome app launcher offers is certainly its best features. Any such apps which work with Chrome, the OS or the browser, can be accessed through the launcher.
We are still waiting for Google to make the official announcement about the release and reveal the details of the launcher as well as its features. Meanwhile, you can head to the Chrome Web Store and lay your hands on it.
