A group of LittleBigPlanet 2 creators have gone outside the scope of games and developed a new operating system LittleBigPlanet 2 beta Windows LBP edition.LittleBigPlanet 2 beta won’t replace your copy of Windows XP, but it’s a heck of a lot cuter……..
The four designers built their LittleBigPlanet 2 beta level based on Microsoft’s Windows XP operating system. Rather than run around a side-scroller or shoot stuff, in the Windows LBP Edition you literally navigate Windows XP. There’s a start button, recycling bin, desktop and all the familiar bleeps and blips Windows users either love or detest. In LittleBigPlanet 2 there’s a Sackboy influence built into several of the level’s features. The image gallery, for example, features portraits of Sackboy and his friends. The media player actually plays tunes and is themed with LittleBigPlanet 2 visuals.
A Windows operating system wouldn’t be complete without an Internet browser and mindless time wasting games. The games include a shooter that allow you to blast incoming objects or dodge falling bricks. Playing either adds to the overall level score.Internet Explorer has to be the coolest thing this level has to offer. You can actually run a real working Google search from within the level.LittleBigPlanet 2 is set to release on January 18, 19, 20 and 21 in North America, Europe, Australia and the UK.
