Popular notifications app for iOS, BoxCar has decided to expand their services beyond the platform. That’s why they gets a native Mac OS X client. It keeps you updated about the notifications of your favorite social networking sites, emails, applications recommendations and so on.

“This is another step in offering Boxcar wherever you’re at. We believe in delivering messages to people – not devices. We want to deliver messages to you, wherever you’re at. That will be on your phone, tablet, desktop, TV or car. It doesn’t matter to us, as long as it gets to you,” creator Jonathan George told TechCrunch.

BoxCar client for Mac OS X is currently not available on Mac App Store. George say’s that Apple requirements for the App Store make testing difficult. It’s expected that the Mac App Store release will be soon.
