Apple Unveils New iPod Touch With A5 Processor

Apple has pretty much confirmed a lot of rumors that have been doing rounds on the web by unveiling a new iPod Touch at its launch event today. The new iPod Touch is truly a thing of beauty, being a mere 6.1mm thick and weighing only 88 grams.

This is the 5th-generation iPod Touch from Apple and is being touted by the company as the ‘best iPod touch we’ve ever made.’ It has an aluminum back and a stunning 4-inch display.

This small nifty device is geared up with a powerful dual-core A5 processor which delivers a 7x faster graphical performance as compared to the last iteration of iPod Touch. The battery is also very impressive lasting up to 40 hours when playing music and 8 hours when running video.

Moreover, it features a 5-megapixel which can record full HD video as well as a front-facing camera with the ability to make FaceTime calls.

One of the most exciting features that Apple has ported on to the new iPod Touch is that it comes with Siri, a feature which will woo a lot of users. The device is available in a wide variety of colors including blue, black, yellow, aluminum and red.

It will be available in two models – 32 GB and 64 GB, priced at $299 and $399 respectively. With the launch of iPod Touch 5, the prices of 4G iPod Touch have been slashed down to $199 for the 16 GB model and $249 for the 32 GB model.
