Earlier, I covered a preview on The Amazing Spider-Man video game. The PC version of the game is already in my hand and I have just finished it. I think this game is the coolest one of all Spider-Man games I have played. The game has some great elements that must be appraised.

I have played all the Spider-Man game except Spider-Man: Edge of Time. But the first feature of this game that has drawn my eyes is the original storyline. Although the new game starts after epilogue of the movie with the same title, it bears a unique identity of its own. The game plots are well written.
What amused me further is the 3D graphic model of the characters. Although it does not beat the lighting quality of Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, it is still fantastic. The New York City locations are developed as same as the movie. The graphics quality of this Spider-Man game is much better than any of the previous games I have played.
The cinematic opening looks fantastic. The game story not only features what happened to the fact of Cross-species crisis, it also serves as the back story of Rhino, Iguana and Scorpion referred as cross-species. Credit should be given to Beenox for fluid and dynamic design of game levels, environment details and characters and their movements. Especially the free style movements of Spider-Man is so amazing that it can be compared to Spider-Man: Web of Shadows although it is not as fast as Web of Shadows.
While I was playing the game, I have noticed a significant change in the combat style of Spider-Man. He is more fluid and acrobatic during combat. The combat style seems to be a fusion of Spider-Man 3 PC Game and Rocksteady’s Batman series. The new feature Web Rush is very effective. I used it almost every time during fights. Spider-Man can swing more in this game. He can also make web net. The Boss battles are very intense. Spider-Man can do very difficult moves and launch several combos like web shooting, web strike, grappling, web zip etc. without taking pause. I think, this game will draw complete attention of players.
What I like most is the introduction of Hub system in the game. I returned after every mission or during the mission to regain health, change costumes.
The collection of different costumes in Peter’s apartment allows the player to choose what costume he likes more and use different suit’s special abilities such as Spider-Man’s black suit. The damage system of Spider-man suit is also another feature that drew my attention. Because of these features included in the game-play, the whole game looks very realistic. I wish any of the previous Spider-Man game had these features.
The technical aspects Amazing Spider-Man is sound. The sound-track of the game are kept as same as the movie. Many new elements have been introduced in the game to make it interesting. The conversation system is very dynamic. Free choices of options have been incorporated. HD quality sound gives the ultimate effect to speech, action sequences and others. According to me, this would be one of the best movie game of 2012.
